Minor tune-up

1. Clean, inspect and test the battery
2. Check all engine related fluids
3. Check and adjust the drivebelts
4. Replace the spark plugs
5. Inspect the distributor cap and rotor
6. Inspect the spark plugs and coil wires
7. Check/clean/adjust the ignition points
8. Check and adjust the ignition timing
9. Check the PCV valve
10. Check and adjust the idle speed
11. Check the air and PCV filters
12. Check the cooling system
13. Check all underhood hoses

Major tune-up (All operations listed under minor tuneup plus...)

1. Check the EGR system
2. Check the ignition system
3. Check the charging system
4. Check the fuel system
5. Replace the air and PCV filters
6. Replace the distributor cap and rotor
7. Replace the ignition points and adjust the dwell (1967 through 1974 models)
8. Replace the spark plug wires
